True? Ron Täubert 2004

Now that we have thought enough about true art, I shall create a project that is 100 per cent genuine: Täubert’s hands. They are authentic, and unique. Experience with me:

Täubert’s hands, a series of 5 works

Ron Täubert,
Rechte Hand (Right Hand),
2004,
EUR 2,600

Täubert’s right hand. Although as a rule I work alone, I also have a right hand. It helps me with all sorts of useful things during the day, plus without it I wouldn’t be who I am.

Ron Täubert, Linke Hand (Left Hand), 2004,
EUR 2,400

Täubert’s left hand. It’s sort of the right hand of my right hand. Do you know what I mean? This is a very true likeness of my left hand, but you can clearly notice the differences.

Ron Täubert, Betende Hände (Hands Joined in Prayer),
2004,
EUR 12,600

A classic among pictures portraying hands. There was an artist before me who chose this motif, but I’ve forgotten his name. Here you have the remake of this motif by the hand of Ron Täubert.

Ron Täubert, Faust (Fist), 2004,
EUR 1,600

Threatening, warning, defending truth – that’s how I see this work. It is Täubert’s fist, which strikes anyone who doesn’t believe it.

Ron Täubert, Zur Wahrheit mahnender Finger (Finger Admonishing to Tell the Truth), 2004,
EUR 1,600

Täubert’s finger raised in warning. The price for this motif has been deliberately set very low, so that lots of people can hang the warning finger over their bed. The finger warns you to be careful and to understand. A very deep picture, which requires the interested observer to ponder it for quite a while in order to get a sense of its meaning.

Ron Täubert’s Daumen in schwarzweiß (Thumb in Black and White),
2004,
EUR 27,000

A monumental picture of my thumb. The original picture has dimensions of 12x8 metres, and is therefore less suited to small rooms. I created it with town festivals in mind, for instance, to create a positive atmosphere.

It would hang well at local fairs or inauguration ceremonies, as well. Also, it is very practical: Once bought it will make an appropriate adornment for less pleasant events such as, for example, the death of the mayor.

Once bought it will make an appropriate adornment for less pleasant events such as, for example, the death of the mayor.

You simply turn it round. When a new mayor is elected, simply turn it round again, etc., etc. So the expense is truly worthwhile.
